The Consulate General Office of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Malaysia has been established in Kuala Lumpur since year 2003. The Honorary Consul General; Dato’ Syed Amin Aljeffri was officially appointed by the Ethiopian Government on April 8, 2003 to head the consulate office and perform diplomatic function on behalf of Ethiopian government in Malaysia and to assist Ethiopian Government in achieving its policy of forging greater people to people contact, enhancing trade and economic activities and extending consular assistance.

VISA PROCESSING
Passport holders of ALL countries, except Ethiopian passport holders, must apply for visa to enter Ethiopia. Visitors should obtain a visa from an Ethiopian Embassy or Consulates before departure. All visas will be valid from the date of issue.

Ethiopians residing in Malaysia could get renewal passport services from the Consulate General Office. The application will be transmitted to the Embassy of Ethiopia in Beijing, China.
